4 days Post-Op Panniculectomy Pics (graphic)
If you can try this trick.....I still keep "TOM" panties, briefs that are big comfy and I don't mind if they get "messed up"....I pull them over my incisions and they hold any bandages in place.
Then I put binder on top of panties, pull snug down over my hips...when I go to the restroom I roll binder up from the bottom and when I am done I just roll it back down to keep from removing it multiple times a day..
I also rubbed a bruise on my hip from that binder
and it can get itchy and sweaty!

I have a lot of skin (but I think there is still a lot of fat hanging too :) This may be personal, so you don't need to answer but was your surgery covered by insurance? I've heard of some panni's being covered if there is problem with the skin. Also, I was told most surgeons want to weight at least 2 years post op. Did your surgeon or plastic surgeon saying anything about that? Thanks for sharing!

I carried most of my weight in my lower body - stomach, hips, thighs. I had the panni since having my 1st baby (had4 kids - 2 that were well over 9lbs). My surgery was covered by insurance - I had rashes under my panni & in my navel. I saw the plastic surgeon when I was at my goal weight (140) and she wanted me to lose 5 more lbs before surgery -- I scheduled it for after my family vacation. I was down to 128 on the day of surgery. She did not mention waiting until I was further out, though I understand the reasoning.
