Emotions running wild>>>Surgery March 30

Ok, I was not expecting to be going into surgery soooooo soon.  I am elated and excited and all that, but I seem to be very emotional these last two days.  Watching DWTS, I was very teary.  My dog made a big mess off my laundry room and I was just mad at her.  And I know I need to clean and get the house all together for when I am home next week, but I just don't have any energy to do a damned thing.  I had a grilled cheese sandwich and some raviloi for breakfast instead of my normal greek yougurt or protein shake.  I don't know what is wrong with me.  Is this normal?  Last night I fell asleep and my poor baby daughter had to get her own dinner and took a shower and get herself to bed.  I felt really bad, I just can't get it together.   ARGH!!!!!  Any advice is welcome.

All of this is normal - almost everyone having surgery has had these feelings!

It's a stressful time - there's good stress and bad and they both affect you!

Hang in there!

We share the date!  I only had 2 weeks notice too.

I've gotten a bit manic.  I've got lists and lists of stuff to do, to buy, to pack.  It hit me yesterday that I've got SOOO much to do!

And I'm generally pissed off because I'm on the pre-op diet and can't eat much.  And I'm constipated and pms-ing.  My order from BA isn't here and that's freaking me out.

So yeah, I get what you're feeling.  I have no advice, sorry :S

Good luck!!

It's normal.  Can you get some help with cleaning and childcare and stuff right now?

As far as the emotional stuff, use this as an opportunity to start dealing with emotions without eating.  It's good practice for after surgery.
