Your sleep apnea might not ever go away - depends on what is causing your problems.  At about the 1 year mark I was able to graduate from the CPAP to the stick-on things you paste on your nose.  I'm not sure I'm sleeping that much better, but my husband sure is!

Time to surgery is going to depend on your doctor and his/her requirements.  Also on hospital scheduling.  It probably will not be very long.

I read somewhere that 80% of people will come off their cpap after wls.  I am in the 20% but my settings are lower.
My advice would be to read as much as you can.
Take care,

No clue but I will tell you what I have always told the newbies who get all  worked up,  sit back  and relax because it really is a fun roller coaster ride and will flow as it is supposed to..................

I agree with AmyBeth- just relax and enjoy the ride.  As far as CPAP goes, it's different for every person, once you drop some decent weight, you may be able to come off of it, you just need to be persistent with your doctor and request another sleep study a few months out to see if you've improved.  As far as surgery date- it is different for every doctor, but if you haven't gotten a phone call from your surgeon's office yet- call them, you never know, your file could be sitting on a pile waiting for a phone call or other stuff.  If you call you might be able to get the ball rolling faster, and they may even have a cancellation or opening sooner than you thought.  Good luck on your journey. :)
