I think it's either midol or pamprin that makes a version with tylanol instead of nsaids that we can take. Mine have gotten worse since WLS too.

I have mirena IUD and I dont even have periods any more, but about 3-4 days after my surgery I got about the worst cramps I've ever had. It felt like my guts were about to fall out of my crotch! (sorry, but thats the only way i know to explain it) It was terrible to even try to sit down. If I lais on the bed wavws of pain would hit and if I moved even my leg, watch out. I never had the period though just a spot or two. If you have any pain meds...take 'em! That's all I know to do. You can try to apply heat too. Good luck, I feel for you

Midol has tylenol so that should be safe.

I'm reading a lot that women are getting their periods soon after their surgeries. I wonder what the connection is...

Tylenol really hasn't help me much.  I read that ginger helps with menstrual cramps, so I just bought some ginger tea.  Saw my doctor yesterday and he prescribed some pain pills for when it gets really bad.  I would sugest talking to your surgeon/doctor to see if there is something that that can prescribe.  I think Midol might be an NSAID.
