What to tell people

Good post.  I think it is personal and we all have to address the nosey people.  I remind myself to focus on the positive.

I decided to tell just because I did.  I work hard for this weight loss.  I am not ashamed.

But also because I had a major year long cancer scare.  People would have been afraid for me.  I could not and would not do that to anyone, even enemies.

I find most people have been respectful.  Some ask how much...I tell or don't depending on the approach.

But ultimately, after the pause, I always try to throw in that the reason I have lost weight is that I work out every day.  Every. Day.
Usually that shuts up the gossip mill.
And yes, most of them can't do half the **** we do!  hehehehehe
Kudos on your butt kickin' workouts!  That seriously rocks!

I've made it a point to tell everyone I've had surgery.  I'm a pretty open person by nature and feel that the more people know, the more people I can educate.  I've not had one snarky comment or put down yet.  If I did, I would dismiss it and move on.  Their opinion wouldn't matter to me.

I think guys are more open to this than gals. Mostly because they couldn't care less for gossip. We worry about too many things and opinions.. We shouldn't.
If anyone asks me, I will just say that I am using all the tools available by medical sience
