How long until this damn shin pain stops?!? And did you just start running with no breaks or walk/run or what. I've been making an earnest effort to become a runner and by earnest effort I mean hundred dollar shoes earnest effort. I've been jogging/walking (minute to a minute and a half run and a minute walk) each day for a short time now and find that I still get shin pain, although it is getting better. I'm also having some pain in my left hip now. Damn, I think I just figured out I'm old!! Cardiovascularly I can hang, but my legs and hip are giving me the trouble. I do warm up and stretch really well after. Also been hitting my hot tub and stretching in there as well.

Thanks for any advice!!

I used the C25K program (www.c25k.com it's free) to get started running. It's start you out in a walk/run pattern and builds you up to a 30 minute run. It's a great way to get started and starts you out fairly slow (LOL. I thought the first day was trying to kill me. LOLOL). It start you off at 3 days a week (so you won't overdo it).

LMAO!  Love this.  I just started running again myself and I am feeling the pain, too.
