I am thinking about buying an Android phone and while I was looking I came across these Android tablets.  They are pretty reasonably priced and they can be used as an e reader which I have been thinking about buying.  Are they any good?  What do you do with them?  Is it better to get an Android phone or tablet?

The tablets are awesome but they aren't phones. So if you need a new phone and want all those bells and whistles, it's a great buy. (infact the 'Droids have been consistently rated higher in consumer studies than the iPhone, although you'd never know that from all the hype...)

If you're not really needing a new phone in particular but want the convenience of a tablet style computer along with the AWESOME book reader feature, I think you'd love it. The tablets are the same as the iPad, which is essentially a full blown computer but without flash capability and ALL touchscreen unless you attach an external keyboard.

I happen to work for Verizon, but not Wireless so I don't know all that much about them, other than what I read in the trade news. I'm also dying for a book reader but torn between spending the $$ for a tablet or going with the Kindle, which is way more economical. But it's ONLY a reader.

Hmmm....

Good luck deciding!

Thanks.  I wound up buying a cheap little 7 inch tablet.  I didn't want to invest a lot of money in case I didn't like it but I do like it.  Still learning how to navagate my way around it.  I love the apps they have available.  I might start saving up for a good one.
