Surgery Date... nervous, excited, obsessed...

Well I met with my surgeon on Friday, and he gave me a surgery date of 5/16. Now that I have very little left to do, I find myself obsessed with researching and reading the forum and just generally being nervous and excited. I do not have to do a liquid diet pre-op, I just can't gain weight. I feel like I only really started this 2/25 when I first visited my surgeon (my PCP backdated my diet history) and although I know I am ready, I just feel like I am on such a fast track. Im so excited, I just wanted to share!!

I completing understand what you are going through. My surgery is Tuesday, April 12 and I too am excited and nervous. Everyone that I have come into contact with that has had the surgery, say their only regret is not doing it sooner in life. I wish you all the luck!  Also, I have found a good support system is a big plus!

 Congrats!!! My surgery date is 5/9... My process was more time consuming.  The first surgeon I dealt with screwed up things with the insurance company.  Now it is fast track with my new surgeon since I already had all the things lined up from the first go around.  I am already making myself go with shakes and low to no sugar.  I wish you the best of luck!!

I so remember the obsession...lol. Once I decided to do it, all I could think about was the surgery. I spent so much time reading and thinking about it, it was like waiting for Christmas Day as a kid. Enjoy this fun time.
