My surgeon and NUT gave me a template schedule to follow to get 64 oz of fluid and 60 gm of protein a day.  So today I decided to try it.  Breakfast is an egg with 1 oz of cheese.  I was never a cheese eater.  So this morning when I scrambled ,my egg I decided I could never eat the whole thing.  I am really trying to do right.  As for the cottage cheese and greek.  Geeze, I have eaten so much greek, I am nearly sick of it.  I am going to make a protein shake and nurse it like i would a great martini and pray for something else to come to mind.

What type of cheese are you using? I use fat free American - it melts great and becomes like a sauce, not stringy.

Use plain greek yogurt in place of the sourcream.

An ounce of cheese seems like a lot so early out. I eat an ounce of cheese as a snack now and I'm 8 months out. An egg and an ounce of cheese is what I eat now. LOL
Don't worry, you're doing fine I'm sure! Just sip on your fluids and protein shakes and eventually food will seem yummy again.

Good luck!

As far as the Greek Yogurt, I put it in a blender with some skim milk, protein powder, fruit (blueberries, strawberries, etc.), miled flaxseed. Then I sip it.

Makes a great smoothie with lots of protein.

Also, try mixing some protein powder in with sugar free pudding and skim milk. This is a great snack.

I'm trying to stay away from cheese due to constipation.

Good luck.

WoW! I am amazed ur able to eat eggs and salsa already???  I had surgery the day before you and am still supposed to only eat full fluids.  I am having no luck reaching the goals you mentioned, I got the same template/goals.  I am maxing at 28 g protein and about 20 oz fluid.  I am trying to increase it each day, but dont want to force myself to eat when I don't feel like I have room in there!  Good luck!!!

The day after I came home I was started on stage 3, soft or pureed.  Eggs was included.  There is no whey (lol) I could eat a whole agg and an oz of cheese.  As for the salsa, I just scooped some of the sauce from on top the jar for flavor.  It cooled off too soon and I could barely tolerate it.  I do not like eggs at all.  Oh well cream of mushroom soup for lunch.

I am 7 months out and cannot eat eggs.  I do the greek yogurt with splenda and SF cheesecake pudding mix for my night time snack!  So yummy!!

I was still on full liquids when I was as far out as you are, so I don't think I am any help there!  I used the Premiere Protein RTD shakes to get my protein in.  I have always tried to get 80-100 grams of protein daily.  Good luck!

Wow, Stage 3 the day after you came home?  Each doctor really is different, huh?  When I could have eggs, I would soft scramble one and add a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese to it - was good at the time, but I can not even LOOK at a scrambled egg now.  However, I LOVE boiled eggs and boiled egg whites!!!
