Your body has plenty of stores to live on. My doc said it would be months of NO eating before my body ran out of stuff to use to keep it going. I was on 200 calories for a few months when I was a newbie, 300 per day by 3 months and didn't get up to 600 till 6 months out and I was doing some strenuous exercising. Part of re-learning how to eat is re-teaching our brains what we thought was necessary (huge portions, etc) really isn't. I'm still amazed at how little the human body can live on - and how much we overdo that - or did pre op. Our bodies are so efficient - we can cut down so far and still be ok.
