pannus removal
The day of and after my surgery I thought I never wanted another surgery EVER. However, today I found myself on the phone with UHC to see if they covered panniculectomy. Funny. Just sharing. Oh, and this morni g I was dancing in the kitchen and this afternoon, my SF Torani syrups came. I can't wait to make something deliscious.

My insurance company did not make me wait. I was 11 1/2 months from surgery and at goal weight. Actually, the plastic surgeon had me lose 5lbs more.... so I weighed 128 at the day of my panniculectomy. 4.5lbs of skin were removed. I am so happy with my results - everyday things - like bathing are so much easier! Not to mention the cosmetic aspect.
My insurance approval was lightening fast.... much faster than rny.... I got a letter in less than a week from my consult. Hope you get the same!

It sounds promising. I would like for someone who actually had a pannus removed with UHC to make the info concrete. The two reps I spoke to were not as solid as i would like to have been. You know? With my RNY it was easy because i had the specific code for the procedure. I may call around for that tomorrow. I spent ALL day trying to download 2 books onto my daughters reader. Finally I broke down and called Sony and it was fixed in minutesl. What a dorky mom I am. LOL

Let me tell you. A week ago, I was regretting all this crap. Protein and water and meals in Tea Set Cups. I was really wondering if I had done the right thing. I was even looking at myself saying, "well my arms and legs are not even fat. etx, etc, wtc....." It was too late to tLk myself out of it. You know, but I have been feeling better and losing weight, seemingly by the hour, so I decided, it wouldn't kill me. And when I lose the 108lbs, I am sure my lady parts will be looking a hot mess with this apron hanging over it. Not a good look. Take care.
