My doc told me to eat 5 times a day but sometimes I couldnt get it in either. They told me not to worry if I didnt get 5 in and not pu****

The problem with skipping meals is missing out on protein options which are vital for healing and prevention of muscle loss. I changed my diet up to include two small protein shakes a day to get most of the  protein  needed out of the way. He tells me Protein first and foremost before you get full then move on to the veggies, fruits and then starchs. I feel full much of the time now and am now down to three (meals) a day with a snack as needed. Working great for me. Good luck to you.

I still forget to eat sometimes. I am never hungry, so if I am busy a meal time can go wooshing by without me noticing .

Set an alarm on your cell phone if that might help you....

Yes, I have a every 3-3.5 hour schedule that i stick to. It definitely helps and as you get further out your body will begin to depend on you eating that way and it will give you signals when you have gone too long. I have been on a schedule since about 7 weeks out, which coincided with me going  back to work and realizing that sometimes i get so busy that I don't make eating my priority. So I had to do something to make eating my priority. By making eating your priority you are also making yourself a priority. That part is important in this journey. One of the ways that we got here is by caring more about other people and things more than ourselves. So its time to make yourself number one. Even if it means carrying a bag of nuts in your pocket  if you can't stop to eat that meal.
I never forget to eat anymore since the day I almost past out at work because I was approaching 4 hours since my last meal... That was the day I got regimented! Since I work in a hospital, it would have been even more embarassing having all my collegues (docs and nurses) surrounding me. Plus I get cranky and have less patience when I don't eat on time. Your body has ways of telling you its hungry... You just have to be paying attention. Many of us no long have the longing thru our tummies so you have to pay attention to other signs.
Good luck!

I'm a creature of habit, and having a schedule is ESSENTIAL.... I don't feel hunger, so when I follow a schedule, I'm good.

One week, I decided I would NOT worry about eating. I started getting deep-bone-tired-exhausted and when I tracked, I reailzed that when left to non-scheduled meals, I was getting about 300 calories a day.

I MUST schedule.

Days without a specific schedule are a pain, and always throw me off.
