Oh I forgot to mention that. The fill was 1 cc and after the reflux symptoms started up I went for an unfill and they removed .5cc. The Gerd never went away, but at least I wasn't getting stuck on liquids anymore.

The GI doc I worked with said the 14 day recommendation for Prilosec was more of a CYA thing and to kick it up to twice per day.

I suck at remembering to take meds, but my friendly GERD smacks me back into submission at least once or twice per week.

You need an unfill before damage is done.

I'm completely unfilled.  Have been since October.   I wish that was the issue because it would be an easy fix.  Luckily I am having the band out in 10 days.   It has been getting tighter and tighter on it's own since last September.  Some days are way worse than others.

I bet you are counting the minutes until your revision!   That sounds awful.

I have been taking Omeprazole for the last 15 years for reflux.  Raise the head of your bed 6" higher than the foot of your bed.  It really helped me.  I couldn't use the pillows as I would just roll off of them.  Talk to your doc...there may be another med that will work better for you.  Mine has me taking the Prevacid..dissolves in mouth as I am just three weeks out, but there may be others that can help.

Good Luck,
Kelly
