Food, glorious Food!!!
OK, I just wanted to share. I stayed at my parents house ;last night. We had a bad storm here in NC. Well for breakfast I had a small piece of water melon with a lil sea salt. Well it exited as fast as it went in especially after chewing the devil out of it. I then settled on 3 small shrimp and a half slice of cheese. I was proud of myself for making good food choices. I should have saved the watermelon for last, right? OK, well next time. Have a good day everyone and if you live in Eastern NC, I hope you made it thru the storm okay. HUGGZZ!!!

Hey Girlie!
I know how hard it is visiting family and trying to make good food choices. I'm struggling with this part of my journey but I'm making better choices sometimes it is hard. I'm glad that you were able to make good choices.
I notice a lot of people on this forum is from NC. I was moving there next March. Nothing in Illinois except for high ass taxes and gas prices.
Keep up the good work!

Hey Kenyatta, how is your 6 mo journey going? Time seems to be flying by.
What makes things harder with my mom is, she is 8 yrs post op and can eat vitually anything. ANYTHING. I look at her plate sometimes and say, "r u going to eat all that?" And she will look at me and laugh. Her pouch is still very much intact but she does not dump. I made a pound cake last night with splenda and whole wheat flour. HORRIBLE. I hope that later on in lofe I can enjoy regular food again. BUT knowing that I have lost nearly 10% of my body weight and that surgery didnt kill me, i know I will be ok. have a good day.

Actually my six month diet is not so bad. Time is flying by and I'm 14 lbs down which my surgeon team wanted me to lose 13 lbs during the six month diet. 13 lbs is 10% of 135 of my excess weight. So I'm doing good. You also have a blessed day.
