RNY is working perfectly, Brain is broken.....
I am working on regain and have gotten back 3 of those missing pounds. The problem is seeing the scale go UP is is playing with my brain

I'm overpowering the bad side of my brain and am going to continue to work to get back to the 115 that my Dr and I both are happy with.

hoping you get back to the weight you are most comfortable. i have a question....did you experience the "bounce back" weight i read about so often? if so....how much and did you lose it again?
i'm just about where i want to be and just don't know how to prepare for the "bounce back" everyone talks about!
i'm glad your most recent surgery went well!!! sending blessings and warm wishes your way!!

I did not have any bounce back weight. That being said, I have not changed my eating (not saying diet) except to add calories from good foods. I'm really not sure of what the reason is for bounce back weight that I hear so much about. If I did have it, I guess I would go back to the eating plan that helped me to lose in the first place.
I have made some sugar free brownies and love them!! Even my kids love them

Congratulations on your success!!

I need to lose no more weight, and am working at maintaining/gaining no more than 5 pounds so that if I get bounce-back in the next 9 months I'll still be ok.
Nevertheless, when I get on the scale in the morning and it has gone up a pound, I first get sad until I slap myself upside the head and remind myself that this is GOOD. Conversely, when the scale has gone down a pound, I mentally go "yayyyy!" until I again slap myself upside the head and remind myself that this is NO LONGER the direction I need to move in.
I think a big part of this mind set is all the years we needed to lose weight have really conditioned us to focus on loss, loss, loss, always loss. It's become an ingrained habit, and (like any other ingrained and unhealthy habit), it will take us a while, perhaps a long while, to break.
Mean time, know that you are not alone, and some of us are right there with you!
