I'm really scared, this is the second time (one day apart) I have woken up in the middle of the night with an acid reflux feeling, burning pain toward the top of the throat, can't get to go away, wedging myself up feels a bit better, tried yogart to just cool and maybe soothe the area.  I haven't had any acid in my pouch since my surgery (June 2010). Will be calling doc when they open but wondered if anyone could let me know if they have had anything similar.

Thanks,

I've had that a few times. I keep Alternagel here to soothe my throat when it happens. It's chalky and yuck, but my gastroenterologist recommended it. It helps a LOT!

Hope it gets better!

you do have acid in your pouch. Just not as much...
I am on ant-acid meds since the surgery. If I go off that - I hurt. not worth the trouble.
