i know, i know, i know how important the vitamins are...but i am just on the tail end of a MAJOR bout with contsipation....i kinda went on clear liquids on my own..but i only drink water so it was pretty much jus****er on tuesday...i had a drs appt with my PCM and he gave me some miralex, and some cream and supporsitories for my MAJOR hemroids...they are really bad....so anyhow i went off everything, everything, no vitamins, not much food for monday & tuesday, if it was not going to help me go to the restroom, it was NOT going in my mouth....well last night at around 1130 i finally gave birth in the bathroom after a full day of labor...hoo boy what a releif...and i only took a 1/2 dose of the miralex yesterday afternoon and just a 1.4 dose today...and today the flood gates are open!!

so i am taking building blocks as that is what my surgeons office gave me as part of my co pay was 3 months of vitamins....my calcium requires 6 pills a day, my multi requires 3 a day, my anti-oxident requires 2 pills a day...then there is a iron and a potassium....i may not re-add those as i was not low on either of t hose....

today i just took 1 calcium, 1 multi, 1 anti-ox, then tonight i just took another multi....i want to re add them slowly so i can get this constipation thing fixed, i can not take the chance of getting plugged up as there is no my hemroids will take another bout....

since i totally missed a couple of days, am i really messing myself up adding them slowly back in? i totally understand how important they are, but i just can not get pluged up again....and i think these are just so potenet that my body can not handle them all....just a little of the miralax really helped out alot...
i am just 3 weekspost op and i have full plans to get back up to par fully, but i came home from the hospital full gang busters on these vitamins and i think my body said "hey wait a second, this is way too much"
thanks for the help
have a great day

I'm not saying you should do this, but you could go a couple weeks with no vitamins and you would not do much real damage.

However, your vitamins are probably not causing your constipation, except for maybe your iron.  What kind of iron is it?
