CPAP Machines - How Loud Are They

I'm going to be getting my CPAP machine soon, and wanted to ask how loud they are.  Are the new ones as quiet as the one they had in the sleep lab?  It was so quiet, I could hardly hear it.  I'm hoping the one I get is just as quiet.

Thanks all!

Yes, the new ones are extremely quiet--I honestly have to have mine on or look at it to see if it's on! My hubby's old one on the other hand I can hear across the room

They are very quiet unless your mask isn't fitting properly. Then they are as loud and annoying as heck! My fiance and I both have one and I am constantly slapping him in the middle of the night because he's "leaking"!! LOL He sleepings cuddling a pillow though and I think a lot of times the pillow is sort of smashed into his face, causing this. Either that or air that blows out of that hole above your nose is being covered by the pillow making a loud noise. Either way, it's enough to wake me up. I just turn my fan up for some more white noise.

Mine is quiet....I frequently have to check to see if it is on.  My hubby says he never hears it.  I was pleasantly surprised that it was this quiet.

I'm now at the point when I wake up in the middle of the night I have to pause and pay close attention to make sure it is even on. Took me a couple months to really get use to it. You will LOVE it. I sleep so much better now!
