got a surgery date!!!

Got my surgery date today! My surgery will be on 6/21/11. I'm so excited, scared but excited!

I'm with you too.  Found out this morning mine will be 5/26/11.  I knew it was coming, but to have an actual date finally makes it all the more real.  So excited!

My surgery is the same date as yours I am excited but have moments or anxiety about thye future but I am sure this is the right thing for me to do....

I feel the same way! I know I have been trying to get this surgery for the last 7 years. Now that it is finally happening I feel so many emotions. It is the right thing to do when we are finally on the losing side things will be so much better. Good luck to you!

Congrats!! I had my surgery on Monday, I was nervouse too. Just remember it is to live a healthier life that is what got me throught the 16 day liquid diet I had to do. I will keep you all in my prayers. Good luck,

It went very well  it took them 1 hour 45 mins and they though it would be 2 to 3 hours  they did not let me wake up in pain. the hardest thing was the dry mouth and cathador i haded that. but i was in my room by 12 and walking by 3. Everyday gets easier. i am still not getting all my water in or protien but doing as much as my pouch will let me. i am  only takin pain meds when i go to bed that is the only time they seems to hurt bad enough to take it. i walk everyday and thath helps as well
