Has anyone tried Shirataki Noodles?? This guy on the View was talking about them and said they were really good. I heard the tofu noodles are terrible, but I was wondering about the regular Shirataki Noodles.

I hope they are better then the tofu noodles.  Those tasted like ass.  Not that I personally know what ass tastes like but it tastes like I would imagine ass would taste like.
Anyway, if I ever see the regular noodles I may try them.  If you try them let me know how they are.

I'll let you know how they are...if I ever find them. I might have to make a couple of trips to some Asian grocery stores.

You can find them at whole foods, in the refrigerator next to Tofu section. They are in a clear plastic bags. If you make it with a really good homemade sauce it's not that bad. I use them to control my diabetes.

many health food stores carry them.  they are in the refrigerated section.  While they look like noodles and have no carbs, they really aren't worth the space in your stomach.  A good sauce with a meatball or two is a much tastier choice.

I happen to love them.  Some people detest them.  Some report that it has a bad odor.  Some report that it does not (I live in a big city that has rapid turnover of grocery shelf items, and I think ours are probably pretty fresh, hence no odor).

Anyway, seems to be a love it or hate it thing.  Not exactly the same texture as regular pasta, and won't absorb a sauce.  But nice to get the pasta-like thing happening ....

Spaghetti squash is another good (and much less expensive, and much more natural) alternative.

Dreamfields pasta is lowcarb and it tastes like the real deal. I buy it at Kroger and Publix.

I also love the Dreamfields pastas. They only have 5 carbs per serving and they even have 5 grams of protein.

That sound great, I might just try Dreamfields instead. I think I seen that packeging before in a few grocery stores so it's nice to know I won't have to search for it.

They are really easy to find in all of the grocery stores in my area. They are in black boxes. If you go to Dreamfields.com you can print a coupon for a dollar off too.

I was also incorrect about the protein. It's 7 per serving :)

I'm cooking some spaghetti right now to have a little with my Italian chili & that's what the box says.......
