Great APP!

Today I downloaded the Calorie Counter by Fat Secret.  It is free from i-Tunes for the iPod and iPhone.  It is great.  There is not one food item I searched for that it didn't have.  In fact, we are going out to dinner tonight and I put in the restaurant, found the items I would be having and got all the nutrition info that I needed.  You can keep a daily food diary and it tracks your fat, calorie, protein and carb intake for each meal and for the day.  It also does exercise, but I haven't done anything with that yet.  I highly recommend it!

They have the app for the android phones also.  I downloaded it on mine even though I normally use calorie count online, but its great when I am out and about and can put everything in to keep track of it all.  LOVE the barcode scanner too and you're right, its found every food item I've searched for.  

Also available for Blackberry. I used this app a lot when I was newly post-op and still counting everything. These days I mainly use it for when I eat out.

I love this app. I had it on my BlackBerry and now on my Android. It also syncs with the web so you can login there if you like. You can even go online and create recipes. You enter your ingredients and serving size and it calculates everything. It is an awesome app.

OMG! You guys are totally right about this app! I just downloaded it this morning and tried it. It's terrific! I tried the scanner too and I tried it on a bottle of water that I got from a Fred's Club, no less, and it found it in the system...amazing, and it even showed me a picture of the bottle of water. Thanks soo much for recommending this. My mother asked me if her phone, "would do that stuff too?"
