I can recall DIETING years ago and being told that 2 tbsp of olive oil daily would fill the good oild need for the day.  Would this be true of WLS persons?  I love Tilapia and I like to fix it with a little olive oil.  What do you think  Also, panko bread crumbs?  Yea or nay?  PLEASE ADVISE WITHOUT  MALICE!

I haven't figured out the amount of oil needed as I don't count fats (don't use much), but olive oil is a good oil. As far as panko, I use it on chicken, but usually brush most of it off before I eat it. But a little shouldn't hurt. You might want to wait until you are at least 6 months though.

I ate lightly breaded (my own cooking) chicken and fish not long after I was released for regular foods.  I didn't have any problems.

I'm not sure about the oil being beneficial.  But ...  I used a tsp of olive oil on my shrimp the first time I fixed it and I was blown away at how greasy it was!  It felt like my mouth was coated in the stuff. I went right back to using Pam.

One of the recipes I found called for Italian seasoned bread crumbs.  It was really good and only 216 cal or 3oz of the chicken tenders.  PM me and I'll share the recipe.  This recipe is one that was recommended by my clinic's dieticians and my plan is super strict so ....

Many of us get sick with fried foods.  If you do this (and I would wait until you are a couple months out) try a little bite - chew very well and then wait and see how it affects your pouch.
