I tried a burger at four weeks out - kids size - with no bun and I ate a quarter of it. TAsted good but could only have three bites.

My plan doesn't allow red meat until 75% of excess weight loss but ....  I can have turkey or chicken burgers.  I haven't tried them yet.  I'm not bored with what I'm eating right now yet.  I did get some salmon burgers from Sam's and they're good, a little greasy but good. 

My first shrimp experiment I used a tsp of olive oil.  It was soooo gross!  Apparently I don't like grease anymore.  I felt like my mouth was coated in oil for a couple hours later.  I'm thinking regular hamburgers are not something in my future. 

I noticed ground chicken for the first time today.  Have you tried it?

I ordered sliders the other day. I had a couple bites and was done. They were delicious! I have only had luck with ground beef... All other meats have made me a bit ill.

I miss burgers. They make me deathly ill, no matter what they are made of. Anything that is a mass of ground meat held together does the same.

But I find nothing wrong with a good, healthy burger (lean beef or turkey). You are a bit early out to be eating that with bread (from a fitting in the pouch perspective), but you do you!

I know a lot of folks who just do the burger with the cheese and toppings and do just fine.

Me and burgers? I'm afraid our love affair might be over.

I havent had a REAL burger in over 2 years. Id give anything to bite into a GOOD burger...I dream about them...with all the fixins lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo and ketchup...drool.

Having one without the bun just isnt the same, but I'll live.

I wanted a burger really bad post op, when i was able to i got really sick, I could not tolerate beef. I now do ground turkey burgers they are delicious i mix green, red and yellow bell peppers, onion, garlic salt, chili powder and a little red pepper flakes in it. Sometimes i mix ground turkey and the ground turkey sausage and the other stuff it is simply delicious and my body tolerates it fine. I dont do the bread though.
