I'm so sorry!  I hope you'll appeal, many are approved on appeal and I'll be praying you will be too.  What morons the insurance companies sometimes hire.  

When I started my process I contacted my ins co about coverage and the details.   They immediately asked if I would like to be assigned to a case manager and I said yes.  I think it was very helpful to have someone there on my side, and she was a wealth of information.  She was also the one *****viewed the request when it came in...and approved me.   So you might want to also try asking your insurance customer service about having a case manager.

Maybe when you appeal, your surgeon can send along some education materials or proof of his other patients success.

I'm so sorry. I can imagine the devastation. I was denied in 2003 and only now was blessed with an approval.

{{Hugs}}  Please appeal.  With all you say you have, I dont' see how they can deny you after an appeal. Be strong and fight for what you want! 

I cannot thank you enough. Everyone of you are giving me hope. This website has been so wonderful with informtion and support. I don't know what I would do without it. Just wanted to let everyone know my doctor's office called today and told me they got the insurance  to overturn their decision and they approved me. I go in monday for a weigh in and to get my optifast and they will schedual my surgery on mon also. I can't believe it. I am so exited. Thank you for all your prayers.

Congratulations on the approval!!  So glad the original decision was overturned and so quickly too!  Good Luck going forward.
