percocet absorption
I fell down the stairs two hours ago and have really hurt my knee/back. I think I passed out because I don't remember going down at all and DH says I was talking a little funny just prior. THink my blood sugar was too low? I have been having some trouble REMEMBERING to eat the past couple days....anyway, I took two percocet b/c my knee really hurts and I don't feel ANy relief at all. Percs usually make me feel a little "wired"at the very least. Is there anyone who can tell me if perc is usually not absorbed well after RNY? anything that might work better? I can call my PCP in the am and ask for something different if need be.........
When you say you are having trouble REMEMBERING, ellaborate please. Are you just busy and forget to eat because you aren't hungry. Is it possibly due to vitamin issues that are affecting you?
What vitamins are you taking? How are you feeling?
Definitely call your surgeon to discuss your symptoms.

it's because I get busy and since I never feel hungry eating just doesn't cross my mind.I know it's incredibly irresponsible of me and I have to do better. My husband is really furious with me over it and so now he programmed my cell phone and is reminding me/preparing my dinner tonite to MAKE SURE.
I am religiously taking the vitamins the surgeon suggested....Mutlivitamin, Calcium, B-12, Vitamin D> I thought I was getting the proper amount of protein too, until I found out via post 2 days ago that the supplement I was using was the WRONG kind.....I've just had two jam packed days and got caught up in errands, sick parents, kids bookreports etc and didn't get in enough food or water.....I paid for it and I learned my lesson for sure.
I'm def. gonna go see my doc tomorrow. My nurse practitioner girlfriend came over to make sure nothing was broken earlier....my BP was low and sugar was low but not TERRIBLY low (82) and other than alot of swelling/pain I'm ok.....not the first time I've fallen but definitely the first time I ever passed out. Scared my kids/husband to death!!!
