................I love good nurses!......because this is a "journey" and not a "diet" and mainly because it is your TOM and mostly all of us crave and/or give in to naughty items
......what you call "infractions".................you are well deserved FORGIVEN!
I have committed many infractions post-op....not bragging just being honest and I am committing one right now as I type this cause it is my TOM and I am eating a Krispy Creme doughnut

I had this surgery so I could eat like a normal person. So on occasion I have a piece of cake or some other kind of sweet treat. And yes I eat carbs. Now the big difference is that those items are not the majority of my diet and I don't eat them every day....well I eat carbs every day, not cake :) I refuse to feel guilty or shameful about eating them. I know others have different thoughts about their food regiments and feel like eating a piece of cake is a gateway drug for them...if that is your particular situation I can understand your need to fully stay away from them, but if not, I don't think you should feel shame or guilt for eating a small amount of these foods as long as you don't make it a daily habit like others have said.

Girl, don't worry too much about it, everybody is going to slip up once in awhile, it's human nature. I decided to be a smarty and get a 4 piece chick-fil-a nuggets and ate them because I was in a stall and felt sorry for myself. I figured while I was at it, it might break the stall. I had THE worst farts I've ever experienced in my entire life. Not the smell but the intensity!! I did it, I learned my lesson, and I won't do it again, unless I decide I want to hear myself fart all night.
Well, I don't see these slips as something heinous like bombing the Federal Building in OK, and you are human, after all. You know what you should be doing, and you should make sure you have something handy to fill the urge to snack. I'd suggest keeping little snack sizes of cashews, beef jerky, etc., in your desk, and keep up the good work!!
I wish you all knew how helpful this site is. There is a support group in my area, but it is inconvenient and a little lame. I think I get so much more from here. The nurse from my insurance company called me tonight and I told her how i love this site and how great you all are. Anyway, LadyLithia thank you especially for being incredibly observant. I told my daughter she can ride the school bus tomorrow so we can save on gas and I can get my arse up in the morning and try to walk. Thanks again ladies. Love you all and have a great night.
