Pissed off and wasted.......
I messaged you back about the bread. Check your PM's!
You are too early out for that bread, though. You'd take a bite and be full. It's futile.
Berries are tart. When I use berries, I do it as a smoothie with yogurt, some splenda and a little bit of lemon juice to amp up the tartness. Usually I use unflavored protein or Nectar Roadside Lemonade. Vanilla + Berries = iffy to me. But I'm not so much a vanilla person.

RNY Gastric Bypass 1-8-08 350/327/200 (HW/SW/CW). I spend most of my time playing with my food over at Bariatric Foodie - check me out!
Have you every heard of Ezekiel Bread? If you toast it, it is pretty good. No, it's not Wonder bread, but we didn't have surgery to eat all the same things we ate before. Here is a link to a website so you can get some more information.

Maybe try a high fiber tortilla and make a breakfast burrito! Some cheese and beans, mild salsa? Yummy!

You have to read the sugar carbs on things. Frozen strawberries are great for a shake with one scoop of powder. DO NOT use so much protein powder your body can only absorbe 20 to 30 grams at a sitting. The best tasting protein powder with low carbs, no sugar and great taste is ISOpure's chocolate, Strawberry and Bannana from Vitamin shoppe. Also Syntax Nectar Sweet in starwberry kiwi and chocolate truffle. I have 8 months out and have lost 90 lbs and feel and look great. Also, anger will keep you holding the was. Might try a bit of moderation in writing your blogs.

My new favorite protein rich treat is fat free plain Greek yogurt (yeah I know it doesn't taste that good on its own), a half a scoop of whatever flavor of nectar protein powder strikes my fancy, a tbs of sf instant pudding mix (flavor of your choice) and a packet of truvia. It is heavenly and has 29 grams of protein. By the time I get to the end of it I'm ready to lick the bowl. My favorite combo's are choc nectar and butterscotch or pistachio pudding.

Well dear you are just playing the "trial and error" game. I have wasted so much food and drink over the past year it is ridiculous. You are still new and you will find your stride with the protein drinks. I learned very early out that mixing shakes was not my fortay so I found a few RTD proteins that I like and I stick with them.
Now something you said, stuck out to me and it reminded me just how new and self righteous you still are these days (that was totally intended to be a joke). Your coworker is right, you may be in that large portion of RNY patients who are able to eat whatever they want. She is probably telling the truth that she can eat whatever but just not a large portion of it. Now I hate to tell you this but you will be able to enjoy a slice of pizza every now and again the further out you get. Bread is not the devil, bread is not what got you fat -it was how much of it you ate and how frequently you ate it.
I am one of those people who can eat whatever in small quantities. I had the "Cheesecake Fantasy" from cold stone creamery yesterday. I could only eat about 4 spoons of it but I enjoyed it and my nephew enjoyed burying his little face in it when I was done! I didn't eat anything else yesterday because for some reason my pouch registerd "FULL" for the rest of the night - go figure.
You feel hungry some days because you just might be hungry. Protein shakes don't cut it all the time. Eat a balanced meal (protein, veggies, maybe a starch of some sort) - it won't be of pre-surgery portions but enough to fit on a small saucer.
Here is my favorite regular people meal ( I am sharing because I heart this dinner):
3 sea scallops
1 cup of mixed baby green salad
1 tbsp of Asian dressing
....if anything fits after the scallops I will have a small piece of bread.
This is the meal that will sit in my pouch and register full at least 12 hours at a time.
Okay that was a lot but I just wanted to share some love with my NEWBIE SISTA!!!
(((((HUGS))))))

I always sear my scallops with a little butter and garlic (yes I said butter). I normally sear them until they have little brown marks on either side of them, I don't think things are good unless they have a little burn mark on them.
Since I am a country girl I do enjoy the occasional battered and fried scallop. But seriously seared is the best way to go. And they are so dense you will definitely be full with just 3 of sea scallops. If you choose to get the bay scallops you will be able to eat a little more (just because they are small).
Enjoy!
