i have never taken any type of medicine or vitamins on an empty stomach, until i had my bpyass on april 4th...so i am just at 6 weeks out...
i know we are not to drink while we are eating..so i try to take my vitamins before i eat, then eat, and wait an hour..but it takes awhile to get in all the vitamins, so the first ones dont make my pouch fell too well....so i have been taking just a small nibble of watermelon with the first couple of pills until i can get them all down, my vitamins are all swallow pills, i am taking the building blocks brand, i got a 3 month supply from my surgerons office as part of my payment plan..so i will take them...

anyhow, what do you all do? any suggestions, thanks,
have a great day

I think the main problem is that all your pills are swallow pills.

You will need to crush them in order to get the maximum amount of absorption. You can mix them in with sugar free pudding to make it easier for your stomach.

I personally take the supplement every morning with my protein shake. All the shakes I take are mixed in milk. So that might help you too.

If at all possible, switch to Chewable vitamins. One of the best brands out there is Bariatric Advantage. They specialize in making nutritional supplement for weight loss patients.

I take a few nutritional supplements beyond multivatimins. If you tell me all the supplements you are taking, I can give some more recommendations

Crushing my vitamins was almost a must at the beginning. Be warned though...multivitamins can NOT be crushed. I would switch to a chewable one. Good luck!

I crushed all my pills in the beginning and still crush a few of the big ones.

I've never chewed pills. I take them with or after food.

The water you'll need to swallow pills is not the same as "cheating" or "bite-sip-bite-sip". If you can take your vites 10-15 minutes after eating, you won't be empty.

P.S.  My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.
