What form is miralax in? Is it powder or pills or suppositories? How often do you take it?

It's a powder - I actually use the target brand, but whatever, right? It has a self measuring cap, so I take one capful every morning. I mix one water bottle of lemonade Crystal Light, and use 8oz of tha****er to mix with the miralax. I don't even taste it.

I hope you feel better soon. I really do.

If you can get your doc to write rx for the generic, I asked for 2 caps per day, since I usually spill at least one, and some months have more than 30 days!

I get SIX of those bottles for my $15 copay vs $20 per bottle

Thanks for the tip - I'll ask him about it! The Target brand isn't $20- you weren't paying that were you? It's like $7, I think. But it's still cheaper to get the rx!

This would be the 30-serving bottle, not the lil squatty one.

Thanks both of you! I will contact my dr and see if he can prescribe that tomorrow!

I wish I knew about the prescription thing earlier.  Before, because of the expense I only used it when things were bad.  I have found that it works better to use it daily and not wait until it is too late.  I have been 99% constipation free since I started taking it daily.  Once every several weeks or so it seems that I get constipated no matter what I do and I have to take Milk of Magnesia but I used to have to take it daily so I can live with it.
Also, if Miralax is your new best friend you need to meet it's buddy, magnesium oxide.  I take 2 of them daily at 500 mg each and I think that has also made a difference.  I have about 5 bottles now because I got them when Puritan pride was having a buy 2 get 3 or buy 3 get 2 sale.
