At 9 months Post Op what type of eating plan / diet were you following?

Do you keep track of your calories? fat? carbs etc?

If so do you use an online service?

HI Goodbye Gordita,
I'm just over 9 months and I track my food everyday on myfitnesspal.com - my dietician loves that site and so do I!  I try to keep my protein at 90-120/day, she recommends higher carbs, but I keep mine at 30-40 and she has my calories at around 1400.  I still have weight to lose which is why I'm keeping my carbs lower.  I will say that nearly every type of food has been added back into my diet.  I don't keep myself on low fat unless it's going to be a main part of my meal, but if I'm going to have cheese I have regular cheese, because I hardly have more then an ounce at a time anyway.  I still don't have much room for fruits and veggies, but I do try and fit in as much as I can.  I can eat lots more salad then ever before.  I hope this helps!

Holly - we have the same surgeon - I love Barbara - she really spells out our meal plan so well!

Dr. Fernandez is fabulous - so nice, very easy to talk to.  I think you'll be very happy.  Have you been going to the support groups?  They are so helpful.

Thank you so much for your posts.. I think I need help because I am freaking out!
I am at my 7 month mark (8 months on June 21st) and I have been stuck for a while on the same weight... I dont know how to lose more weight.. I am scared that I might not lose anymore...
=(
I am much like you and what you described.. I can eat some veggies not all.. some salads.. but almost every kind of food is back on my diet...
I am eating about 1200 cal a day but I think that is too mmuch...
Now, in protein I am not having not even 70 a day. I just started my old routine of having a protein shake in the mornings so I can pump it up... what should I do?
Did you get stuc??? I wanted to go  down to 150.. but I think that is not going to happen for me...I am at 216 now.. but sometimes I check the scale and I go up to 219.. 217... and like that... I will be happy to lose another 50 lbs...HELP!!!!!!!
I am freaking OUT!!!!!!!

Hi Mache,
I was stuck too.  I only lost 4 pounds in month 7.  I think my issue was that my old bad eating habits were creeping bag in.  I would have an open face sandwich instead of just eating the chicken.  I would have some chips or cookies at a party.  I would have a slice of pizza when we went out.  I never ate very much of that, but I think the simple carbs were what was leading me to stall so badly.  I think what you need to do is go back to basics.  Make sure you are eating lots of protein and I would add a protein drink in for sure.  1200 calories is what my dietician had me on at 6-9 months, the calories aren't usually the problem.  It's the carbs.  I hope this helps!  You aren't done losing weight, don't worry about that!
