When to try having salads?

I'm five weeks out and have had no problems with salads.  I don't eat a lot of lettuce because by the time I eat a few bites of the "good stuff" on top I am too full to eat the lettuce, but the few bites I've had I haven't had problems with.  I am still struggling to get all my protein in, so for my first salad I went to Ruby Tuesdays and loaded it up with protein-ham, two cheeses, eggs, sunflower seeds-in addition to my veggies.  I could only eat five or six bites, but they sure were yummy!!  Good luck!

i've had salads since 4 weeks post op. It goes down fine. The only problem I find is a tend to over-eat and not listen to my pouch when eating salad. I've always enjoyed plain salads but I try to load them now with proteins.

Raw veggies are tough, and everyone's tolerance to them is different. I wasn't able to tolerate salads/raw veggies until I was a year out. The only way to find out how you'll react is to experiment with the things you'd like to eat.
