Liquid diet is highlighting my food addiction...
It gets better and gets worse and gets better and gets worse and it gets better... but there's nothing quite the first day you "get it". After surgery it is very different. All the demons you fight now you'll still fight then, but they will feel different, you'll have different tools to fight them, and each and every time you fight them and win you'll get better at it.
Good for you for reflecting on it... recognizing what is going on and articulating it really helps empower you to fight it.

You don't need to be a food addict to get food obsessed when on liquids only. You still have full capacity and your normal appetite so yes it can feel like torture.
Thankfully you won't have this issue with post op liquids. However, the dysfunctional eating issues are not corrected surgically. Check out the links in my siggy line. Its a place to start.
