I am having extremely loose bowels and my lymphocytes were high last blood work.  When I looked up high lymphocytes it listed Chrons as a possible problem, when I looked up diarreha it also indicated Chrons.  I'm wondering if I'm malnutritioned and that this may be causing both.  Any information or thoughts welcome.  Thanks

I'm going today, should I self diagnose myself because I did research on the internet or let the doctor figure it out? So many doctors are not familiar with the weight loss surgeries, I guess she should know right?  It's a new doctor, I will tell her.

Crohn's has nothing to do with WLS. It's an inflamatory bowel disease. Both my sons have it. They were diagnosed 3 years ago. It affects the intestines and can cause inflamation and blockage. WLS does not cause Crohn's, but if you think you may have it, see a doctor and ask about the possibility. It is diagnosed with a colonoscopy.

Good luck.

Okay, I was just reading that it said malnutrition can cause it, so I was kind of playing doctor on my own until I go this afternoon.

Malnutrition does not cause Crohn's, it is a symptom of it.  It causes inflamation of the intestines so you don't absorb anything.  When my son was 13, we discovered he was malnurished because he'd had Crohn's for at least 2 years and hadn't absorbed anything, even though he was eating a healthy diet.  He hadn't grown in over 2 years.

From the WLS, I have poop issues and manage it with Magnesium Oxide and sometimes Miralax.  Sometimes get diarhea.  There can be many causes.  Glad you are seeing your doc.

Okay thanks for that, I guess it could be a bug that won't seem to go away.  I need to stop self diagnosing myself, I get all worked up looking at the internet trying to figure out what is going wrong.
