Need constipation advice lol
You may need some more water or exercise in your diet. Too little water and you WILL have constipation. My surgeon has stated at a recent support meeting, that each patient needs to find "their own recipe" for constipation issues. This can include warmed prune juice, eating prunes, stool softeners, eating a higher fiber diet, using Miralax or Milk of Magnesia, etc. Personally, Miralax did not work well for me. Going 10 days is not acceptable. My surgeon has also recommended a daily Acai cleanse product for my wife, as she has this issue too. Some post ops have a major issue with constipation and may need these type of products. I even got a script for constipation from my doctor a few weeks post op--a liquid that tasted like chemical bananas. DAVE

Uh huh. I completely understand! I never really had to deal with constipation EVER. Now its a pretty constant companion. I had one of those horrible, horrible poops where I had the same thought "geez - I thinking having my daughter was easier than this!". Go ahead and take the colace. I was told milk of magnesia too, 2 oz dose, would work as well and I've done that but it makes me gag. Another thing you can try is a glycerin suppository. They melt and kinda lube your poop as well as make it softer. Check with your surgeon though, to see what they recommend.
I hope you find something that works for you! I can't imagine going 10 days ....
