Question about Vitamin A
I take 25,000 IU three times a week. Of course there is also vitamin A in my multi. The amount I take is based on my lab results - if your vitamin A level is not low, you probably don't need any more than what's in a good multi.

Well, most docs don't routinely do a full set of labs before surgery, they just check things that might interfere with surgery. But I personally think it makes sense to request a full set of labs.
That way you know you aren't starting off with any deficiencies.

Thanks Kelly I appreciate the reply. I read an article today about not getting enough vitamin A and getting night blindness after being deficit for a long time. It made me question whether I needed extra. I have my next labs in two months so I guess I will see what the new outcome is.
Thanks again.

I didn't see your surgery type, but maybe as much as 25k per day, dry form, in retinol, not beta carotene, if you want to save your eyes.
If you are RNY, you malabsorb A, D, E, K, so they are all replaced with specific formulas, none in oil.
