For the past several months I have......

Been lighting a candle for all those going into surgery and all those recovering from surgery. This is something that I started doing because it sets my mind at ease knowing there is enough warmth and care put into those candles that I just know it helps. I know it sounds sappy but I just love doing it. Kind of my way of saying thanks to everyone on here for all the support and blessings each of you have bought into my life.

On my surgery day (August 29) my hubby will be lighting it before we leave to go to the hospital and will put it out right before we walk out the door, BUT he will be turning on my LED candle I keep on hand in case I can not find something to light my normal candles with. So there will still be something out there for everyone.

Everyone here is special and I am going to be honest this is the biggest support i have outside of my DH, my sister april, and a few close friends. You all have no idea how amazing you are.

Ok I am done being sappy.

My sentiments exactly. When my family didn't really support me at first OH was all I had. My family is fully on board now, but I still visit the boards daily. I hope and pray that everything goes great and smoothly in your surgery. You are a special person who has made a serious life changing decision. I am so glad I did it and I'll be saving a place for you on the losers bench!!! Good Luck and God Bless

Wow...I had my surgery 4 weeks ago. I was so scared to go through my first surgery ever. Thank you so much! I will be thinking of you on August 29. I will light a candle for you.

Thankies. I have had the honor of laughing at some funny stories. Felt like crying at some of the loss stories, and going HUH when I did not understand something. This is one rollercoaster I will gladly jump on and ride. (virtually, not physically since I barf on the real ones, LOL).

That is so sweet! I would love to light a candle for you on you date. My brain is fried (2 y/o twins and a 4 y/o tend to do that to ya lol) Perhaps, you could remind some of us (Umm, ME) when the time draws nearer.

Awesome. You can add me as a buddy if you want. Only thing I am really not looking forward to is the enevitable GAS. LOL
