You look BEAUTIFUL!  You are right about shopping.  I love buying clothes as Walmart and similar stores.  It is so much easier to find nice things at lower prices.

You look stunning! Wow. Way to work your RNY!  You inspire me...and make me a tad envious. ;)

You look AMAZING!!! I am about 2.5 months out and I find that I am not doing all of the things on my plan. I get all of my vitamins, fluid, protein, and exercise, but I am not eating enough.

My doctor told me to stop all protein shakes & eat 6 times a day with 1/2c at each meal. Right now I can only eat about 1-2 times a day. I usually have a piece of string cheese around 11a.m. and a piece or 2 of fat free turkey lunch meat for dinner. I find that I'd rather drink water or tea than to eat and I can't really eat much more than that without feeling sick, so I've just been having a protein shake around 8:30 p.m. every night.

You've had so much success with your surgery that I'd love any advice you can offer about your journey! Would you mind sharing about your diet, exercise, and any other success tips.

Thank you SO much for sharing this post! You really are an inspiration!

Shirley,

Thank you so much for the wonderful compliments!!!

This is what has worked for me.  I to this day still drink my protien shakes every morning.  I also have 2 cups of coffee and then nothing bu****er the rest of the day.  I don't drink tea or soda.  I do have small meals throughout my day and stop eating after 7pm.  I am running 6 miles every other day and do free weights on days not running.  I use the P90X system LOVE IT!!!!!
On the running I had to work up to it.  I started out walking a mile then running half mile...then I decreased my walking and increased my running.  I started training last Oct and ran my first half marathon around my 1 year post op and ran 13.1 miles in about 2.5 hours.  I am now addicted to running.  It is just me and my tunes and the road.  I can think about issues or nothing at all....BUT it is just me!!!

The only thing I do not eat is corn, popcorn, cookies, cakes, ice cream I even stay away from the sugar free versions as they make me dump too!!

If I think I need something sweet I will get fruit or a Lite & Fit yogurt.  I also still take my vitamins every day.

You need to find out what will work for you....the Dr. gives you guidelines.  The biggest thing for me I was a social and emotion eater and I had to change that.  Now I look at food as survival.

Plus being able to wear a 2pc swimsuit and smaller clothes straight from rack is the BEST feeling.

Someone once said on here...."Nothing taste as good as thin feels"  That is so true.  Not media thin but your body thin.  Listen to your body and embrace you.....I will not reach my goal because my body is really happy where it is right now and so am I.  I am so much happier and much more confident than I was.  You need to lean about the new you that is unfolding...You are like a caterpillar but will soon be that butterfly!!!!

Good luck on your journey!!!!

Deborah
