Prayers Please - I'm Going In

The day I felt like would take another year to get here has all of a sudden arrived.

I have my RNY on Thursday morning, so any and all well wishes and prayers are welcomed! I feel completely at peace with my decision, I'm excited, but realistic. I had an ovary removed a few years ago, so I'm familiar with what to expect to a degree.

I have also read a lot about the first few days' buyers remorse, so I'm mentally gearing up.

I've really enjoyed reading on here for months and watching the encouraging relationships. I hope to encourage as much or more as I receive.

Thanks!
Heather

Good luck, and I will be praying for you!  You will do great!

First few days you feel like you have been hit by a truck...but after that it is great!
Just follow the MD's instructions, do as you are told......sip sip sip, walk walk walk, sip sip sip, walk walk walk!!!!!  You will do great!

Blessings!!!

Good luck. I had mine on July 5th and I'm doing awesome. I hope you have as smooth a recovery as I have had thus far. Other than a couple annoyances ( my latest is constipation) I've have had a pretty quiet recovery. You will be in my thoughts on Thursday when I'm sitting in my post op appointment with my surgeon. GOOD LUCK and God Bless!!!!

Awesome. I will be lighting my daily candle as always. SO it will be sending warm thoughts and encouragement your way.

Many prayers and positive thoughts coming your way.  I am planning on RNY for August 9th.  I'm sure all will go well, but -like you- I've seen lots of "buyers remorse" comments in the first few days post-op.  I keep trying to gear myself up and remember the prize- HEALTHY.  Hang in there and know that we are here for you, too.  I wish you all the best.

Sending you lots of thoughts and prayers! It's a crazy journey but if you take it a day at a time you'll be ok! Hoping and praying for a successful surgery and a quick, good recovery! Buyers remorse is common when you've just been through this major change.
