I'm falling behind in protein. I'm going shopping tomorrow for some high protein staples I can keep in the fridge. Can you give me some ideas? What are some high protein foods you keep in your fridge??

I have cottage cheese....fat free, egg beaters, fat free cheese slices of any kind available, rotisserie chicken, sliced baked deli meats, fat free milk.  In my closet, I keep Special K protein water mix and protein cereal.   For the protein cereal, I have two servings....half cup with a half cup of fat free milk and that is 24 g of protein.

Before I started with some lactose intollerant symptoms, I kept SF chocolate pudding around a lot and mixed the protein with that....thats like a power boost or mixed it with plane greek yogurt...thats a super boost. 18g protein, 18gr protein in yogurt!

I also keep Special K protein chips around for when snacking is impossible to avoid and Hummus to go with them. For travel or just being out for the day, I take packets of prtein water mix and a boxed bumblee bee tuna fat free lunch that I buy at the supermarket in by all the canned tuna.

In the freezer I also keep bags of fish filets, tilapia, flounder, cod that I get at Costco. They cook up quickly and easily and all have 20+ grams of protein. I think the cod even has 30!

I also keep a bottle of Isopure green on hand just in case I have a really bad day. Its not wonderful, but easy enough to drink down in a  pinch.

Good luck and have fun shopping!

My biggest protein snack is Atkins high protein snack bars. Chocolate chip granola is my favorite with 17g of protein.
A little lower in protein, I also like to keep in stock Activia Light yogurt  and deviled eggs.

I've recently discover Slim Fast LOW CARB shakes, they are pretty good with 20g of protein, but I am waiting for the critics on the board to tell me what's wrong with them, because it seems this is too good to be true.

I always have eggs, cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, and sliced turkey in my fridge.  They all seem to be high in protein and easier to tolerate.

Good luck
