Newbie waiting....

Hi everyone! I'm new to the board. I have been reading and lurking for weeks. I thought I'd finally post and say "Hello". I am currently awaiting to get a surgery date. I am scared, anxious, just a big ole mess of emotions. I can't wait to start living my new life so my boys (I have 3) will have a new healthy mom, my husband a new healty wife. 

I'm new as well. Lurked around for a while, and I want to become more active on here now. I have my surgery date--August 16. Going through some hard times right now (my boyfriend of three years and I just broke up), but there is a lot of support on here.

So I say to you- HOWDY!

I'm sorry for your breakup- that's got to be hard specially now when you need support..BUT you have us now

Welcome to the forum!!  The emotional ****tail is completely normal.  We all go through that!  Take care!

Welcome! as you know from :lurking: this site is great!  Everyone here is from different backgrounds and have diferent views on life but we all have this in common!

I went through those same emotions and it is so normal.  Stay focused on how this surgery will change your life for the better.  I had surgery on May 17th and even though I have had some minor problems, I would do it again tomorrow.

Thanks for the warm welcome  I will post more often and once I have the date I will let y'all know. The surgeon did say yesterday it will most likely be the 1st week in August- I'm waiting on Tricare.

Hi I'm new on here too-my surgery is 9/12/11 and I was so excited when I got the call a couple of weeks ago so I know how you feel.  I was prepared to wait 2-3 weeks to hear back from insurance but it only took 2 days.

I am new on this site also, but I have been reading information for quite a while.  I am just in the stage of thinking about checking into the surgery.  Has anyone had this done that had insurance but weight loss was not covered?  I also have many health problems and my PCP said we might be able to get it approved due to medical necessity.
