No one noticed???
Met up with some teacher friends yesterday............no one noticed I lost any weight. One gal knows because I told her but said nothing!! According to everyone else it is very noticable!! Anyone else experienced a non-reaction??? I never brought it up but I have to be honest...........my feelings have been hurt. I know it is only 30 lbs. but still. OK, done feeling sorry for myself. LOL
The people that matter notice...maybe they didn't want to say something and be wrong?

How do you know no one noticed? Did you ask them if they noticed? It sounds like you wanted them to say something about it without you bringing it up first, but some people think it's not very polite to ask people about their weight. Weight is a personal thing. I think it's just like some people think it's not polite to ask someone how old they are.
A while back my sister and I ran into my ex-husband. He'd lost a TON of weight. I hadn't seen him in a few years, and seriously, I bet he'd lost 200 pounds. Maybe more. I barely recognized him. My sister said, "Hey, how did you lose all that weight?" I shocked that she would ask him that. I thought it was not very polite of her to ask. I was not going to say a word about his weight loss. That did not mean I didn't noticed, I sure did notice.

Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
Cheer up girl! If you're anything like me.... I have gained and lost weight so many times, Im sure my friends and family are used to seeing me go up and down. lol. Im sure they did notice, but didn't want to bring it up. Weight is a touchy thing for people to bring up on their own.
You're doing great! The closest to you notice and tell you.... thats what matters!
Keep up the great work!

Sometimes people just don't know what to say. I have lost a 70 lbs since my surgery and people do not say much to me about it because they just simply just do not know what to say. If they finally do say something they usually say "You have lost quiet a bit of weight" I say yes and most everyone knows at my work place that i had the WLS. Do not let it hurt your feelings you know you have lost weight and you are on the right track
