I agree that people don't want to sound rude by mentioning your weight loss. I'm a teacher and had my surgery in September 2008. During the school year I lost 140 pounds. NONE of my students mentioned my loss during the year, until yearbooks came out and they saw my yearbook picture. Even 8th graders can be sweet!!
