What can I have?
ok, Tuesday will be the start of Week 5, but as of right now, I can eat 4 ritz crackers with or without peanut butter. I cant eat apple sauce (last time I tried, wouldnt stay down, made gassy and sick) diced peach cup i can eat, im soooo sick of yogurt and oatmeal. I can eat skinless boneless chicken breast ( I had some seared yesterday) mashed potatoes. Tonite I had about 4 oz maybe 5 of stove top and that went down fine. SO what i wanna know is, whatelse can I try?? IDEAS PLEASEEE!!
How about turkey, string cheese, sliced deli meat and cheese roll ups, tuna salad, egg salad, scrambled eggs, cheese omelet, beans (Black beans, kidney beans, whatever you like, seasoned however you like), chili, cooked vegetables, half a banana, taco meat with cheese and salsa (no taco shell), refried beans with salsa, ricotta cheese topped with marinara sauce (nuke it, it tastes like lasagna but no noodles), protein shakes, sugar free pudding, cottage cheese?

Try meatloaf, kababs (ground meat on a skewer), meatballs, seared tuna, grilled salmon. Shredded baked chicken, too. All of those are soft and should be OK when well chewed. Refried beans are great, put a little shredded cheese on top and a dollop of greek yogurt and you're set. I also started eating mashed strawberries and tiny chunks of watermelon at about 5 weeks because I was craving fruit.
Refried beans plus sour cream plus shredded cheese plus taco sauce
Ricotta cheese plus shredded mozzarella cheese plus pizza sauce plus grated Parmesan cheese
Planning to try egg salad later this week.

I trust this surgeon. She was just elected as head of American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery . She has done 4000 proceedures without a death. She approaches this whole thing like it is science and follow up by her staff is first rate. If you like, I am happy to send you our meal plan.
Best of luck to you! You are asking all the right questions!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR RESPONSES!! One thing I have picked up since my surgery is I listen a whole lot more. I am so grateful for the responses and ideas. I also want those of you that spoke on eating the stove top and the runny mashed potatoes, I was just craving the mushyness of the stove top and i have had runny mashed potatoes with a little can chicken (99% fat free) for dinner a couple of times. I didnt know i couldnt eat that (stove top) but im glad that i know now that its a no no. I love my tool and dont want to do anything i shouldnt or not suppose to. The ritz crackers and peanut butter is no no too, so I wont be doing that either. I just thaught the protein from the pb was what the target was. My dietician was like " im not gonna really put a number on it, i dont really want you to worry about calorie intake and carb intake like that, because I want you to focus on your protein intake. I understand NOW that she means your intake is very limited already, so its more important to get in that protein first. and sticking to the ok'd food ill dot just that. Thats why I wanted to know what else I can eat. I paid for that pb, i was so constipated it aint funny, lol. Im better now and excercising. Thank you so much ladies. God Bless! :)
