OMG I GOT MY DATE!

Holy tolido I go in next Wed. August 3rd! I cannot believe it. I'm happy, anxious, scared I don't know how to feel. I've never had any sort of surgery- This will be my first. I cannot believe 3 weeks after talking to my doctor I am now going in! Prayers, good vibes, good thoughts please send 'em my way.

 Good for you!!!  You won't regret it :)  I had mine 8 days ago.  There will be soreness at first but in a few days after the surgery you'll be feeling much better.  Make sure you have everything you need at your house before surgery.

Thanks Tammie! I'm going Saturday with a girlfriend to shop and get everything I will need. She had RNY surgery 7 months ago so she'll help me out with that. I think after giving birth 3 times naturally w/ no drugs I can do this....I hope. lol.

Wow!  You just had your first discussion with the Dr. three weeks ago?    How were you able to get insurance approval so quickly??

Yes! It hasn't even been a month yet. It wil be a month July 30th- so correction 4 weeks. lol. I had gone to the doctor and he ran some labs lucky me a week later when I went to see the surgeon I just needed a few more they took out the labs needed that the AFB didn't do. *air force base* The same day I met the surgeon I did my ulcer exam. Then the same week I did my physicatric evaluation and nutrition class the same day. Now on Friday I go for pre-op and Wed. I go in for surgery. I'm a diabetic and I am extremely over weight therefore my insurance approved it immediately 24hrs after it was submitted. I have Tricare Prime.

I know how excited you must be!!!  I am 1 day ahead of you!!! I'm sure all will go well with both of us!!! Good luck and congratulations!!!
