well...kind of new...REDO
Hello to all. I've been around since 2008, but havent really posted a lot. I just had a revision from band to RnY on 7/16. I'm excited to be on the losers bench AGAIN and hopefully will accomplish my goal. I'm probably considered a "lightweight" for RnY now, but still morbidly obese! Pre surgey weight was 234 and happy to announce, 1 1/2 weeks later I weighed in at 217. I can't remember the last time I weighed that "little." I'm so excited to be on the journey and glad to have the "crap" band out of me.

Hello - I'll be a "newbie" sort of as well...I'm scheduled to have my band removed on Monday. I'll be getting RNY done at the same time. I wish I could say I was a lightweight - lol - I was unfortunate enough to gain back all my weight plus 20 pounds (note the jealously
)
I think it's awesome you are at 217...seems like a dream for me right now, but I know it is one that can and will come true.
Yea to the "crap" band out! I couldn't agree with you more...tired of the pain from my port, tubing, esophagas, reflux, "getting stuck" - burping, hiccuping...I think I'm more excited to be done with it than the RNY. I'm quite nervous about the surgery - knowing the revision is riskier but am adjusting and working on getting myself psyched up!
How are you doing with the Revision? Can't wait to get to know you...from one soon to be ex-bandster to another :-)
