Even easier to do them yourself at home.  No monthly copay at the office, no sitting in the waiting room, way more convenient.
sounds even better to me....especially the co-pays......what do I do?  get a prescription from my PCP?

cause "gasolina" is a trip these days per gallon and I live in hot ass Atlanta now and there is a problem running the A/C in the car and burning a tank of my precious "perfume" to get to the PCP 12 times a year!

Yep, get a script from the PCP and get it filled at any pharmacy.  You'll get a vial with the B12 in it and a box of syringes.  Your PCP can show you how to do it the first time if you're not sure, but it's really easy.  I really love my PCP but I don't wanna have to go to her office and pay her $15 every month.

I'm feeling OK.

I do remember you said you cut it into a heart shape.  I thought that was really cute.  I still use mine all the time.

Ya know I have always been a early bird not a night bug......back in the day before hubby and kids......I was the one in the club that was ready to go wayyyyyyyy before midnight and rarely watched the news....

all of a sudden April 2010 because I keep good records of every lil thing (OCD) probably.....but anywho.....I developed insomnia for the first time in my life and still to this day I cannot sleep 1 damn wink without Ambien................Lunesta makes me sick and melatonin gives me a headache the next morning...

I have had every lab done I can think of and everything is normal or above normal for us being post-op RNY.....what are your thoughts on this.......Am I strapped to Ambien for the rest of my life?

I was never warned of this possible effect or told about the no NSAIDS for life until post-op.......everything else I was up on?

I cannot imagine taking prescription sleep pills til the day I die which I hope is 60 or more years from now and I have tried lavender smells, hotbaths, dark room everything but without meds since last April I cannot sleep........My PCP suggested another sleep study.....I have the order to get it done.....I hope something comes up!

but as soon as I take the Ambien I am out like a light but I have to take that with 1-2 mg of Xanax or that won't work!

I don't really know why RNY would cause insomnia but I've seen posts from several people saying they developed insomnia after surgery.  I don't know what else you can do about it besides what you've already tried.  I wish I did know.  I've had insomnia for as long as I can remember, since long before surgery.

I just switched to injections,.. and although I have given others injections before,.. it took me 2 days to find give myself one! lol But it was soo painless,.. I was like why was I so freaked out! So I would suggest that,... I just started 2 months ago but have no plans to go back to subliguals.

Quick semi ot Questions: I got my B12 vial recently and accidently left it in the car for about 5 hours (in FL),.. is it still good? I've read that it doesnt need to be refrigerated but will heat mess it up? Thanks!

I have no idea.  Why don't you call the pharmacist and ask?

Thanks Kelly. I spoke to my pharmacist already and she did not know and could not find any information in her database etc on the stability of b12. She thought it may be ok but had no concrete info. Ive looked on line but haven't found much information so I was wondering anyone else thoughts.

Hmm.  Maybe look up a phone number for the company that makes the B12 and call and ask them?

If I was gonna guess, I'd guess it would be OK still to use it.  But I personally wouldn't inject myself with it based on my best guess.  If I couldn't find out if it was still OK, I'd toss it.
