Big issues w/protein powder post-op

 Hi there!
I am 1 week 1 day post-op and I am experiencing the same issues with protein. I have tried to mix it in skim milk and sugar free fruit drink...it "runs" right through me. Yesterday I bought some ready to drink protien from GNC and Muscle milk lite RTD. I like the taste of the GNC brand, but my pouch started to give me indications that I should not try and fini**** I think I only drank several sips. 

I go to my doctor today, so  am going to ask what I can do to get my protein in. I was happy to see this post and the responses...I am going to ask today about the egg protein.

Try whey based protein with added prebiotic fiber. It should regulate your digestive system.  Add high protein skim milk (11 g per 8 oz. cup) unless you are lactose-intolerant.  In this case, add lite soy milk or almond milk for added calcium. 

I would like to know how you do.

I'm pre op, but maybe you can try the clear fruity protein drinks like Isopure or Nectar. Hope you feel better soon.
