For those who are post-op and been eating out!

If you guys already been to Red Lobster, what things on the menu were you able to eat?

I would love to go there soon, but don't know how I'll be able to handle seafood now.  I'm a month and five days post-op.

My first time out I went to Red Lobster...I had the snow crab legs!  Mmmm delish!!  1/2 lb is really not that much meat, and was totally do-able!  Skip the chedder biscuits for sure (the temptation is surely there! lol)

Good luck!

Seafood is practically the only thing I could eat at month out and still have it a lot.  Crab legs, 1/2 lb is perfect.  My husband ordered and added a 1/2 lb to his meal and that is what I ate.

I went to Red Lobster for my anniversary a week ago. I was about as far out as you are now. I was able to eat crab, some shrimp and a piece of a scallop. I had a small amt of salad before that - dressing on the side of course. I had the Roasted Crab and Seafood bake. Gave the potatoes and corn on the cob to my husband and daughter and enjoyed the rest. I didn't eat much of the scallops, because they were drenched in the garlic and white wine sauce and it looked a little buttery. Next time I'll ask if there is butter in the sauce. I couldn't find that specific dish in the nutritional facts - I'm assuming its a new one, I've never seen that dish there before.

But all in all, if you like crab I say give it a try. It takes FOREVER to eat and you have tons of leftovers for a yummy crab salad the next day! Just be sure to try small amts.

Whatever tickles my fancy!      I haven't had any food issues as of yet so I get whatever I want. Usually a steak and shrimp or, like the last time I went, a lobster pizza.

I am SOOO jealous... cause at a month post op I was on soups so I would have had a lobster bisque or chowder and take out the pieces.

BUT even now a year half post op I still can only get something like shrimp ****tail and eat maybe 3 to 4 shrimp

Red Lobster was also my first restaurant experience after RNY (2 1/2 weeks post-op, went for my b-day). I had snow crab legs and scallops. Of course I couldn't eat much so had lots of leftovers. I also had like a 1 bite of the garlic mashed potatoes.
