Since my surgery.....
I have been having Restless body syndrome. Instead of Restless leg syndrome my whole body jerks really bad. I noticed it about 2 weeks or so after surgery. So I went to my PCP and he put me on the smallest dose of Mirapex. It didn't work. I called back to have my dose upped and he wouldn't do it. (have I mentioned my PCP is an ass and I'm glad he's leaving the state) I had one today so bad through out my whole body that it actually scared me. I also was having a hard time sleeping on the Mirapex. I also noticed today that it started doing it in my arm while I was on the computer. It is so frustrating! I don't know what to do.
Could be a deficiency in vitamins...dehydration...or a number of things. I would go get your blood tested for your vitamins and increase your fluids. It could also be a Dystonic reaction to medications such as antipsychotics, antidepressants and antiematics that cause dystonic reaction. Phenergan caused a Dystonic reaction in me...it was the most uncomfortable and iritating experiance I have ever had. I took Benedryl at home, went to the hospital twice...The second trip to the hospital ER they gave me IV Benedryl and it stopped the reaction within minutes, I stopped taking the Phenergan and continued benedryl for the next few days and it took care of the issue.
Look up Dystonic Reaction on the internet and see if it fits your symptoms.
Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

Uggg...I REALLY feel for you. As a lifelong sufferer of restless leg syndrome I know exactly how horrible it is. Mine got so bad that I went to a neurologist a few years ago and she also put me on Mirapex....did nothing for me. Since then it comes and goes...was really bad during my 2nd pregnancy. There's no questions that certain meds make it worse (I can't take Phenergan either). When I've tried to get help from medical professionals most of them look at me like I'm crazy because it it so poorly understood. Definitly make sure you are getting enough iron, a lack of iron can make it much worse. Make an appointment with a neurologist if it continues to bother you...restless leg (or body) syndrome is a recognized neurological disorder. Best of luck and let me know if it gets better...mine's been acting up recently as well!!
