Hunger Pangs...sometimes it's not!

It seems like every half hour to an hour I get hungry! Well my friend who had the surgery a year ago said that it's not necessarily hunger pangs and when you get like that drink something and it will go away.

Well once that hunger or whatever it wa**** me I grabbed a bottle of water or crystal light and it went away!  I don't want to keep eating all the time, and I'm trying to drink a bit more now because sometimes I find myself feeling dehydrated or my lower back would start aching and I know then I haven't drunk enough liquids....Thanks to my friend for telling me to drink something instead of listening to my pouch (stomach) and going for something to eat all the time.

So glad you have learned that trick! It will make things much easier. Do you sip a drink all day? If you carry a bottle of water or crystal light with you and sip regularly, it may even prevent those hunger-like feelings altogether.

I am doing well. A little over 2 1/2 months out and I have lost 49 lbs. I have had some trouble with nausea, likely due to an ulcer, but Dr. Coon put me on carafate and I have been feeling soooo much better. The office is very supportive and have been happy with my progress as well. Keep up the good work!

I think it's because for so long, we ignored any signal other than "hunger", so our bodies learned
to make the same signal even if it is for "thirst".

It's a good thing to pay attention to your body!!

Best wishes,
